How it works
From your store to the app stores
Six steps, all in your browser. You only need your store and, for the stores, an Apple and a Google developer account.
1 / 6
Create your app
Sign up and pick where your store lives: Shopify, WordPress (WooCommerce or any WordPress site) or any other website. Shopify apps start with demo products so you can design straight away.
2 / 6
Connect your store
Shopify: paste the Storefront API address and access token from the Headless channel. WooCommerce: enter your store address, and install the free AppBuilder Connector plugin for customer sign-in and orders. Websites need nothing more.
3 / 6
Design it
Build pages from blocks (banners, product rows, categories, videos and more), choose up to five tabs and a tab bar style, set your colours and icon, and design the splash, welcome and sign-in screens.
4 / 6
Try it on your phone
The builder shows your app on a phone as you edit. Install the AppBuilder app and scan the QR code to use your draft on your own iPhone or Android phone.
5 / 6
Build and publish
Press Publish to make your changes live, then build. Android builds give you an installable app. iPhone builds go to TestFlight. The Submit section checks your app against store rules and drafts your privacy answers.
6 / 6
Keep improving
Send push notifications, watch installs, sessions and sales in Analytics, and change your app whenever you like. Most changes reach installed apps as soon as you publish.
What updates without a new build
Updates when you publish
Pages, blocks, tabs, colours, the sign-in screen, welcome screens and app texts.
Needs a new build
The app name, icon, splash colour and logo, sign-in with Apple or Google, and turning native features on or off need a new build.
